YPF is a community of young people age 14-18 who meet every Wednesday. At YPF we alternate between meeting together at the Junction and meeting in smaller group in each other’s homes.
Many of our young people serve the wider church with impressive commitment including at FFF on Thursdays, The Rock on Sundays and in church services on instruments, the PA or Visuals desk. A couple of older youth have begun volunteering with the younger youth as well.
YPF in Life Groups:
YPF Life Groups are smaller groups of young people who meet every other week to study the Bible together. Each young person is regularly encouraged to contribute to the life of their group by using the talents which God has given them. Some of the young people teach from the Bible, some lead worship, others host and some help to build a sense of community through organising games; all are needed for the success of this family-shaped community.
Once a month during the All Age service we host a mentoring breakfast for young people in the Sixth Form. Young people and their mentors are invited to join us for breakfast together, before the mentoring pairs split off around the building to catch up and pray together. This is an opportunity for young people to receive one-to-one discipleship and to involve and include the wider church family in the discipleship of young people.
YPF Weekend Away & Holiday:
Each year we take YPF on a weekend away. Recently it has been to the Isle of Wight. We also go on an annual YPF Holiday together, usually to Soul Survivor.
