handsWe love caring for  our church family and those who visit during the week and on Sundays.   We have a particular responsibility for children, young people and vulnerable adults and for these groups Safeguarding is especially important.   The church has a Safeguarding Policy and Simon Tulett, our Youth Minister, is the Parish Safeguarding Officer.

We are required to ensure that PCC members and staff, together with  volunteers working with these groups, are adequately trained and this is arranged through the St. Albans Diocese.  Some but NOT all  will need to have clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

If you are currently going through the DBS clearance procedure OR you have been asked to provide a reference for someone who is, PLEASE CLOULD YOU RESPOND WITHOUT DELAY TO WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO DO.  If you have any queries you should contact Alex West, Safeguarding Administrator –

Thank you for your co-operation.   Safeguarding is vitally important in the care, nurture and protection we provide at Christ Church
