I’m loving angels instead
v.40 Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
You never know who you are talking to. In Genesis 18, Abraham is visited by three men who turn out to be angels, and we are called in Hebrews 13:2 to entertain strangers as we never know who we are in the company of. In the same way, God wants us to treat all his children with that level of love and respect. We are called to love and treat everyone in the same way God loves and treats us.
Ask God to show you those you meet today through his eyes. Ask him to reveal to you what he thinks of these people, and in your conversations be praying for the right words to say and the right things to do.
Father, today may I be a witness to you through the way I encounter others. May those I meet today encounter you, may they witness you through me and may I entertain everyone as if they were an angel. Amen.
