It’s all about you, Jesus
v.3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul writes in thankfulness for the overwhelming faith of the Thessalonians, based on the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, and celebrates the example they are to the churches in surrounding lands.
Is our work, our labour and our endurance rooted in faith, love and hope? Does the message of God’s love ring out from us (v.8) to those around us? Or do people see us talking, us loving and us doing? Let’s take time to examine our motives and ensure that our work, labour and endurance point people to Jesus!
Lord, I’m sorry for the times I get in the way of people seeing you. Help me live my life in such a way that your saving grace and love ring out to those around me. Amen.
