DO YOU MAKE A GOOD CUP OF TEA?

Christ Church Monday morning toddler REALLY need a second Tea Person to help every other week. The role involves making and serving tea and coffee (and biscuits!) to the mums, dads and carers, helping to prepare snacks and drinks for the little-ones who come to the Toddler session and clearing up afterwards. If you have children who are at school or are now an ‘empty-nester’ it is a perfect voluntary role for you! It would only take up 4 hours of your time each month.

RHL are asking members of the local churches to rally together to help.  There will be a mixture of strenuous and less so tasks!
Full details and dates for how you can help with this amazing local event are under the tower. Please email

The Junction Update

Following the retendering process, at their meeting on Thursday the PCC identified Beards as our preferred contractor and agreed to continue working with them with a view to entering the main contract.  Before we will be able to do this, there are a number of remaining issues which the team will be working through, including safety and access concerns to do with the Highways Officer, and a remaining significant financial challenge due to Beard’s far more detailed and realistic costings.  As you will already be aware, this follows the withdrawal of our previous contractor who had realised that the costs they had indicated to us were unachievable and therefore dropped out of the process.  We will be giving full financial details and a ‘Final Phase Appeal’ in September, but meanwhile would ask us all to keep the Junction as a main focus for our prayers.
Every blessing
Gavin, Ronel and Ian
