The Rock on Sunday

This is our Sunday children’s church which caters for children between the ages of 3-10 years (up until the end of Year 5).  Just as church provides community, a place of worship, prayer and equipping for grown ups so we long that the Rock would be such a place for our children.  Our desire is to see all children grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord, to see children impacted by the love and Good News of Jesus Christ and to be filled with his Spirit.  Of course, we do this in a childlike and very fun way!  We worship through lively action songs and creative prayer, learn from the Bible through stories, drama, games and craft and have loads of fun.

On a typical Sunday morning we start with registering and welcoming the children between 10.15-10.25am in the foyer and then they go with their parents/families into church for the first part of the service which begins at 10.30am.  The children then leave the service and meet in four groups:

• Mini Scramblers (Pre-School Children from age 3) meets in the Upper Room
• Maxi Scramblers (Reception) meets in the Upper Room
• Climbers (School Years 1-2) meets in the main hall
• Explorers (School Years 3-5.) meets in the Point

On the first Sunday of the month the whole church family gathers together in the church for our all age service.
