Rock Solid

For school years 6-9 (ages 10-14).  This dynamic group is full of energy and the joy of the Lord.  We meet nearly every Sunday from 10:30 – 11:45 at Christ Church School for worship, Biblical teaching, and fellowship.  The 1st Sunday of the month we join the 10:30 assembly at Christ Church for an all-age service.

We intentionally leave space at the beginning of the morning for the young people to catch up with friends and meet new people. After spending the first half hour together as a group, hanging out, playing games and challenging one another at angry birds (!), we split into 4 groups: Alpha, Beta, Gamma & Delta. Each group is allocated Rock Solid leaders who remain with the group week to week, bringing an element of continuity. I am grateful to our loyal team of volunteers who invest so much into the lives of these young people.

Rock Solid fulfils the ‘growing’, ‘showing’ and ‘worshipping’ aspects of our purpose statement.

Rock Solid has a social event once a half term as an opportunity to bring along friends and also just to have a good time together.  These socials range from trips to the bowling alley or theme parks to dodge ball tournaments at the church.
