Messy Church
Messy Church is the opportunity for all ages and all backgrounds to come together to do a very different form of church. We meet once a term on a Saturday afternoon between 3.30pm and 5pm. Each time we meet we learn about a Bible story, but in a way that is different from what you might expect of church. We learn through being a bit messy! We do crafts, cooking, games and creative prayer to help us explore. Then we have a really short interactive teaching slot with some fun and lively songs. Our time together the finishes with some lovely refreshments. It is an hour and a half of mess and fun and noise with something for all ages.
Messy Church is brilliant event if a formal way of church doesn’t suit you or if you’re looking for a friendly way to introduce friends, neighbours or relatives to God. The next event is our Easter Messy Church on Saturday June 16th. It’d be great to see you there!
Summer Messy Church 2012
We looked at the story of Noah’s Ark for our Summer Messy Church. We made rain makers, had our face painted and learnt all about the promises that God makes. We even got to throw wet sponges at Brad!
Easter Messy Church 2012
The sun shone as we celebrated Jesus being alive at our Easter Messy Church. We had loads of fun making Easter nests, decorating stones, planting sun flowers and painting. Easter is a time when we celebrate new life so we had an Easter egg hunt around the church yeard too!
