Youth and Children’s Interns
Christ Church offers three 12 month Youth and Children’s Internships, starting in September each year.
Interns are given ongoing training and mentoring, and an opportunity to grow in leadership and in their relationship with Jesus.
Simon
Hi my name is Simon Tulett and I’m from Eastcote in Pinner.
As a teenager, after a long testimony of coming to faith in God, I came to a point where all I wanted to do with my life was commit it to serving God.
This led me down a path that took me on a GAP year with Christians In Sport, taking a degree in applied theology at Redcliffe College, and finally, here!
I absolutely love sport and golf in particular, so if you fancy a round anytime just let me know!
Nell
Hi I’m Nell, I’m from Sittingbourne in Kent and have just completed a degree in Ancient History and History at Reading.
After much prayer over the direction I should take after University I decided to look into children’s work in the Church and after finding the internship here I felt this was where God was calling me.
So I followed where he lead and am excited to learn more about what he has in store for my life and for this place.
Liam
Hi, I’m Liam from Sheffield.
Having just finished sixth-form I am the youngest intern, but I’m well excited to spend a year working with Simon, Nell and yourselves here at Christ Church.
It is through much prayer that God has placed me here.
Working with young people is something very important to me as church youthwork has had the largest impact on my life as a teenager – without it I would never have met Jesus!
Next year I hope to study Youth Ministry at university, and eventually become a youth pastor.
As interns we have been pondering a question we thought we’d share with you, ‘what is our true motivation in daily life?’ Do we make ourselves the centre of our daily actions? Or do we commit each day to the commands of Matthew 22: 36-40?
