Building For Ministry Project
Christ Church Chorleywood’s vision for the future is best expressed by five phrases:
“God’s Love - Know It - Show It - Share It - Declare It”
Our existing Church Room has served us well for over 35 years but does not allow us to realise this vision. It is too small and has poor disabled access. The present building is not even sufficient for ministering to our own Church family and is totally inadequate for the Church’s greater community role in Chorleywood and its surrounding area.
The new Church building, The Junction, will enable us to fulfil this vision and ministry, not to just our wider Church family but to the neighbouring community as a whole, across all age groups. We want it to become a living testimony to Christ’s love for all and to become a place where everyone is welcome.

The Junction Update
Following the retendering process, at their meeting on Thursday the PCC identified Beards as our preferred contractor and agreed to continue working with them with a view to entering the main contract. Before we will be able to do this, there are a number of remaining issues which the team will be working through, including safety and access concerns to do with the Highways Officer, and a remaining significant financial challenge due to Beard’s far more detailed and realistic costings. As you will already be aware, this follows the withdrawal of our previous contractor who had realised that the costs they had indicated to us were unachievable and therefore dropped out of the process. We will be giving full financial details and a ‘Final Phase Appeal’ in September, but meanwhile would ask us all to keep the Junction as a main focus for our prayers.
Every blessing
Gavin, Ronel and Ian
