IMPACT Youth this week (Monday 20th Feb 2017)

 ypf holiday

Wonder what we’re all about?

Impact Youth Ministry exist to share the way of Jesus with our friends and family, to show them His love and to grow passionate followers of God who seek to worship Him with their whole lives.

Hello friends,

I Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping–believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” (Romans 4:18 NLT)want to be like Abraham. Abraham’s story is truly amazing!

At 75 years old (grandparent age!) God told Abraham that he’d become the father of many nations through having a son. At this point, Abraham and his wife Sarah didn’t have any children.
It took 25 years before Abraham saw the answer to this promise and Sarah gave birth to a son. God came through on his promise, but Abraham had to keep hoping even when there was ‘no reason’ for hope.

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping–believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” (Romans 4:18 NLT)

I want us to be people of hope. I want us to know what God has said and to trust His word, even when it feels like there is no reason for hope.

This last week I realised that some aspects of my hope in Jesus and His promises had been knocked. There is this amazing verse in the Bible that says, God really is able to do ‘immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us’ (as it says in Ephesians 3:20) but I began to doubt that.

When I realised it, I apologised to God and he put his hope back in me. This week I wanted to remind us all to continue trusting and hoping in the promises of God.

Tons of love,
