IMPACT YOUTH this week (Monday 16th November)

Wonder what we’re all about?

Impact Youth Ministry exist to share the way of Jesus with our friends and family, to show them His love and to grow passionate followers of God who seek to worship Him with their whole lives.

Hello friends,

The little notes at the beginning of these emails seem to get shorter and shorter at the moment! Apologies. Time is getting just a little squeezed as I work towards rounding off work for maternity leave and handing things over to Simon. Below you’ll find details of all the programmes running this week and I cannot wait to see you at them and have a proper catch up then!

Loads of love, Fiona

Impact youth this week:

Football (year 10-13) – Monday 9th November

When: 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Going Deeper (year 6-9) – Tuesday 17th November

Here’s a picture of lIMG_2404ast week’s Freddie V Abbie – what gross challenges do you think Simon will set for the interns this week? Come along to find out! The seminar discussions this week are from Acts 2 on the beginning of the church. The topics are: The Bible talks about needing to be saved? What does being ‘being saved’ mean? / Do I have to go to church to be a Christian? / & The church grew by 3,000 people in one day – Was being a Christian popular back then?

Going Deeper

Where:  Christ Church – The Junction

When: 6.30pm – 8.00pm

YPF (year 10-13) @the Junction – Wednesday 18th November

It’s life group weeks again this week. Your life group leaders should be in touch shortly to make sure everyone knows what’s happening this week. If you aren’t sure, give me a shout and I’ll help find out.

Where: In each other’s homes

When: 7.30 – 9.30pm

YPF are a group of young people who love God and love each other. We meet in 4 life groups every other week in order to go deeper with God and in friends with one another. If you’re not sure which group you are in or where to go, give Fiona a ring on: 07879 814216.

Rock Solid – Sunday 22nd November

This week, as we continue with the theme of Old Testament characters, we’re looking at the story of Jonah. It’s a famous story but even with the most familiar stories, God speaks time and time again. This week we’ll be focusing on recognising that following God’s plan for our lives is the best way to be. Challenge Sam will involve moving water with only your mouth and trying to dissolve vitamin C tablets – it’ll make sense on the morning!! 🙂

Where: Christ Church school (year 4)
When: 10.30 – 11.30 am

Rock Solid normally meet Sunday mornings during the 10.30 service. Rock Solid is designed to be fun, to nurture friendships and to help young people own their faith and grow in it.

Church & Café Fusion – Sunday 22nd November

The passage for this week is Exodus 23:20-33, ‘God’s angles prepare the way’. David Hall will be preaching. We’ll have cafe fusion as usual again.
