IMPACT Youth this week (Monday 13th March 2017)

Rachel RL - edit

Wonder what we’re all about?

Impact Youth Ministry exist to share the way of Jesus with our friends and family, to show them His love and to grow passionate followers of God who seek to worship Him with their whole lives.

Hello friends,

This week I’d love to point you towards a really inspiring art exhibition up in the Junction this week by Jason Lock, a member of Christ Church. The exhibition of 64 photographs presents abstract images of both the urban and natural world around us.  On closer inspection the images all subtly depict the cross and correlate with scriptures from the Bible.

Jason explains, “I became a Christian in 2011 and since then my life has changed in an amazing way.  In my first year of following Jesus I found myself being drawn to images of the cross in random locations and decided to capture them just for myself to use as a screen saver for my computer.

“As I began to read the Bible more, for the first time some of the images I had captured jumped out and helped me to connect with the scriptures.  I found a creative way to share what I was feeling and the many characteristics of Jesus I was coming to know.

“Capturing these images helped me to spend time growing closer.  I hope this collection helps you to learn something new about Jesus, more importantly I hope these images provoke you to feel something new.”

Why not take some time out this week to come along and have a look.

Take care,
