IMPACT Youth this week (3rd – 9th of July 2017)

dsc_0511.jpgWonder what we’re all about?

Impact Youth Ministry exist to share the way of Jesus with our friends and family, to show them His love and to grow passionate followers of God who seek to worship Him with their whole lives.

Hello friends,

I came across this verse from Matthew 6 in my daily reading this last week and wanted to share it with you.

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Often I find we read passages like this we see the challenge in them (and Gods teaching is so often challenging!) but we miss the deep compassion and care of God that’s revealed when he teaches us like this.

God took (and takes) the initiative to teach us the best ways to live and that tells a huge story of his care for us. When God teaches us and challenges us, he does it because he loves us.

Take care,

Simon
