Impact Youth Ministry exist to share the way of Jesus with our friends and family, to show them His love and to grow passionate followers of God who seek to worship Him with their whole lives.
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him,King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesties hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.
A couple of weeks back at YPF we were discussing mental illness and whether God can heal. Since then, I’ve been reminded of these verses in Daniel 3. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are in an impossible situation. They are facing being burnt to death in a blazing furnace for refusing to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar, but still chose to put their faith in God.
That’s when they say, ‘the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us… but even if he does not…’
With mental illness, physical illness, broken dreams and the pressure of exam performance seeming to determine your future… please know that God is able to heal, he is able to help, he is able to intervene supernaturally & he is able to rescue you.
And if for some reason, He does not (or does not seem to) heal, help, intervene supernaturally or rescue you in the way you hoped, He is truly still good. He is still trustworthy, He is still with you and He is still deserving of being first in your heart.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Tons of love,
