Joshua 1v9“The Lord is with you wherever you go”  Joshua 1 v9

This is the first Bible verse I ever learnt when I was nine years old and it has stuck with me ever since. It’s a verse that is easy to say and read but sometimes hard to believe. We have all been there, a place of darkness, worry or sin. Maybe you have had experience with a loss of a loved one or been hated for what you believe in. Everyone has been or is going through a difficutly time in life and in the depths of difficulty it’s important to remember God, because he is with you every step of the way.

I recently saw this quote which Mike Pilavachi put on his Instagram. “God found Gideon in a hole. He found Joseph in a prison. He found Daniel in a lion’s den. He has a curious habit of showing up in the midst of trouble, not the absence. Where the world sees failure God sees future. Next time you feel unqualified to be used by God remember this, he tends to recruit from the pit, not the pedestal.”

This quote reminds me that anything is possible through God. His power is above and beyond all understanding and he is greater than all our problems. God has you in his gracious and loving hands, he has your future, your career, your sons and daughters in his control and he loves every single one of us to the ends of the earth. So let’s be confident in the God we believe in, let’s have faith in the God we trust and let’s proclaim his name together as a church family, because he is with us all everywhere we go.
