The groups meet in The Junction every weekday morning (Monday to Friday)
from 10:00 to 11:30am during Christ Church Primary School terms.
Who are we?
Christ Church Toddlers is run by a team of volunteer Christian Mums. We welcome little ones from birth until the end of the term in which they turn three years old. Some children come with their Mum, Grandma or Dad and others with a carer. Each group has a volunteer coordinator or two and a team of helpers who take responsibility for the general running of the session.
What do we do?
We have free play and there is a range of toys that will entertain both girls and boys at every age. Each week a simple craft activity is organised by a member such as play-dough modelling, colouring or sticking.
Halfway through the morning, juice and biscuits are served to the children and a story may be read.
There’s tea, coffee and biscuits for the adults.
Towards the end of the session, after tidying away, we sit in a circle for songs, notices and a prayer, or once a month a Toddle-In Service is held in the church. This mini service is organised by the church’s Children’s Minister and gap year students and has a Christian message.
During the year we hold a number of special events. A Christmas and Easter Toddler Services, a summer picnic on the Common, and a Christmas party with Father Christmas. In the Autumn term, we organise a photographer to visit.
We welcome a contribution of £12 per term for each child and £15 for siblings or twins. This contribution covers refreshments, a contribution to the church for use of the premises, new toys, craft supplies, birthday cards and Christmas gifts for the children. We also support the education of a child in Kenya and give donations to charity.
How To Join
We are often over subscribed and there can be quite a wait if you are particular about which day of the week you would like to attend. Please contact email@example.com or phone the office 01923-282149 to check availability. We give priority to members of the church congregation and those who live within the parish boundaries. We look forward to welcoming you!
