Anne Lovegrove : Non- Stipendiary Minister

Anne LovegroveAnne, with her husband, Philip and their four children worshipped at Christ Church for some twenty years from 1970. During that time, they were especially involved in work amongst young people.

After being a full-time mum and then a part-time school secretary, Anne went to Oak Hill Theological College in 1988. She was ordained Deacon in 1990 and served her Curacy in Bishops Stortford. She was ordained Priest in 1994 – one of the first!

From 1995, two incumbencies followed: St Oswald’s, Croxley Green and then St Paul’s with Willian, Letchworth. Anne officially retired in 2009 but has since helped out in parishes in the Deanery – something which she has enjoyed immensely.

Since retirement, she delights to see more often their five grandchildren and to catch up with friends – to be a lady who lunches! Anne also belongs to Chiltern U3A where she is a member of ‘Singing for the Terrified’ and the drama group. She goes to an English Folk Dancing Club; loves her Kindle and tries to do Jazzercise a few times a week to keep her fit.
